She Was Fire

27 Feb

She was fire.
An easy, graceful falling
Lifting higher,
Dancing flames of blue and gold.
Peaceful dreams of beauty
that consume me.

She was river.
Twisting, racing, faster
Towards forever
Of the endlessness of oceanic
Wrapped in no embrace
Save for her destined.

She was desert.
Shifting sands of barrenness
From pleasure,
Claiming lives by heat and thirst
Any ventured too near
To her heart.

She was Heaven.
Floating radiance the stars are
Held in.
Offering a dreamer flight,
Of the gravity
That grounds the soul.

She was elemental
Yet, a phantom.
She was all that most would
Take for granted,
As the most unreachable
And yet she was.
